***** My mom got this toy for my son who is 6. was going to return it because I thought it was too young for him. He LOVES it. She bought him extra tracks to go with it and he is having a blast trying to figure out different track patterns. It is one of his favorite gifts, i would not have expected that. I gave it a high rating on the educational value as well only because my kid is trying to figure out new patterns, not because of anything else.

***** Great train set My two year old grandson loves Thomas, tho the T's are still beyond him so he calls the engine his "mom-is" that rhymes with Thomas. He carries it everywhere. This is his first track and he has no difficulty setting the engine back on the track when it goes off.

***** This set isn't big. However , we bought two sets and made a BIG track. My two year olds (twins) love it and sometimes we'll make the smaller track to put on our dinner table. The trains can be quite loud (when on). The trains are also very easy to turn off and on.
