Reviews
***** (5 stars) - Trying to find using these for at least 6 months, and also I've waited to write a comparison until now so that I can offer a full picture on if they are truly as fantastic as some people say they are. Good plan? yes, great concept and also execution? That's what Now i'm here to answer.
I use these kinds of for the pictures that hang up along my stairway. Choice to hang my children's a muslim along the wall with minimal space in-between the casings, so I needed a LOT of casings and a perfect hanging approach. Since I don't have a ton of money or perhaps 6 hands to get a great picture hanging down, Choice to use cheap picture casings and these strips to hang these.
First I got a lot of casings from the dollar store and after that had the kids paint the particular frames all different colors, i quickly got the Medium Photo hanging strips from 3M.
After reading the evaluations I decided to follow the guidelines EXACTLY, with one minimal alteration. Since, again, I actually don't have a ton of money - and the are pretty expensive, I actually cut the Medium Whitening strips lengthwise and got double regarding my money.
I well prepared the back of the frames by using a cotton swab with liquor (LET IT DRY)- in the event the frame was really smooth I actually used a needle to be able to scratch up the finish calculating it would help it to adhere. And then after it dried I actually attached the already slice strip to the middle regarding frame - instead of the leading because it made more perception to me.
Then I took this specific frame and held up to where I wanted that to hang and prepped the particular wall with the alcohol. Following it dried, I carefully attached the second strip for the strip already on the body by only pressing the most notable and bottom edge and taken out the backing. I placed it up to the wall and also used a shish-kabob skewer to keep the strip for the wall as I removed the particular frame.
The instructions told let it wait an hour just before hanging the frame less difficult. I found that an hour had not been always sufficient (because our prep wasn't great? due to the fact I used 1/2 any strip? I don't know) However , if I let it take a seat overnight - SUCCESS! We have now had them clinging for months with no problems. My goal is to press on them every every now and then to assure they don't knock down. After all, this is on a stairs and people can brush simply by them if they are not very careful.
I honestly believe that should you do not clean the area with liquor or give it enough time to stick - you are going to have difficulties like the other people on these kinds of reviews. It probably aids using lightweight frames : and the dollar store 8X10 frames are pretty mild, but I have used a whole deprive instead of a 1/2 strip for the heavier frames and they are yet to worked just fine too.
An added note. It took me eternally to do the entire staircase due to the fact I could only prep a couple of at a time each day to give that enough time to adhere so I can measure the next frame effectively. So it was a lengthy method. It was all worth it even though because now I can merely yank off a body and put in their newest a muslim quite easily and it's one of the best places to walk as it looks so good, the ends are so straight and nothing wobbles or leans to one aspect.
Another great thing to use whitening strips for are the frames that you have nailed to the wall. These kinds of can sometimes tilt so Items use the poster strips to enable them to keep them in place and let the toe nail hold the weight of the body. I also use the poster whitening strips (2 per velcro strip) to re-use the velcro strips once I've obtained them off the wall. Haven't got any problems with them both.
Good luck - prep and also prepare to wait for a AMAZING finish to your framed skill and photos. Don't let the other reviews throw you down! - Ruth K. Cahill
***** (5 stars) - Required to hang a series of seven sizeable heavy picture frames, and all needed to be at precisely the same height. I bought seven packages of the 'large' hanging bunches because I thought it would make your hanging process easier as compared with getting all the nails pockets in precisely the correct identify, but I had my issues that these strips would be sturdy enough to support my 10-pound frames. I was right with this product simplifying the draping process -- with a few uncomplicated measurements and a level, ladies went up lickety-split and straightforward as you please. But We were wrong to doubt their whole holding strength. The eyeglass frames have been up for days and enjoy no signs of falling all the way down. I'm really impressed, plus wouldn't hesitate to encourage this product. As a matter of fact, I'm under no circumstances using traditional hanging electronics for frames ever again. Most of pictures in my house from that day on will be had put with Command strips. These couldn't be easier and hold great! - Margaret C. McAfee
